Catch-Up

This last month has flown by and I can't seem to get all of my blog posts done, so I decide to make a slide show of the last couple of weeks to show all that we have been up too. I still have more to catch-up on but here is what we have been up to since we got to Michigan.

Matt and Steve did a great job installing all of the appliances, blinds and garage doors. I am so thankful we have them out here because I would hate to have to help Steve figure out all of the tricks to installing everything.

PLaYin IN the DIRT

Cannon was invited to go hang out with his cousin and ride motorbikes. He was so excited he could hardly stand it. At first he was a little nervous about riding the bike by himself, but after Steve took the safety off of the throttle, Cannon was having a blast. He was going pretty fast for a kid who has never rode a motorbike by himself. He can't stop talking about it. I think this was the highlight of Cannon's trip back to Idaho. To top it off, he was able to get all dressed up with racing gear. He walked around like he was the coolest kid in town.

50 yrs in the making

(MOM,DAD & Melanie)

It is amazing to think that my parents have been married for 50 years. For there celebration all of the family went to Island Park to stay in a cabin and just enjoy everyone's company. We all had so much fun together and this was the first time that everyone has been together since my wedding, which was about 7 years ago. We spent time boating, 4-wheeling, motorbikin, running and staying up late chit-chatting. The weekend flew by. I love my family so much and this summer has reminded me how much I love them and it doesn' t matter how long we are apart or how far away we are, we are still a family and nothing will ever change that. I feel so blessed to have such a wonderful family and for the family I married into. We get along better than I could have imagined. I love each of them so much and I couldn't imagine not having them apart of my life. I am so blessed. I even love my brother-in-laws (sometimes). J/K!

10 year High School Reunion

This summer Steve and I had our 10 year High School Reunion. We had lunch at the Shelley Park and caught up on a lot that has happened with everyone. We saw tons of people who we haven't seen since high school and others that we saw regularly. These girls been through it all. We have been friends for so long that everytime we get together it is just like we were never apart. These girls made high school worth while and I miss and love everyone of them.
Steve was there too, he took the picture. It was really funny because a lot of people from school had no idea that we got married since we never hung out or dated in high school. I'm so glad I married him and I'll just pretend he was my high school sweetheart.

sUMmeRTiMe, SuMmeRTImE!

These girls had so much fun in the pool, that I can't decide if they used more water or sunscreen and towels. Karlee's cousin Levi taught the girls how to pour water on there heads and they just thought this was the funniest thing ever. They laughed until their belly's hurt. Or cried until we brought two of the same toy everywhere we went together. Jaime and I got to spend a lot of time together this summer, which was awesome. I can't wait until next time.

Well, here it is, the talked about waterslide. This waterslide has been the highlight of many summers. This waterslide has been around for atleast 15 years. Each spring we have to de-winterize it and fix it up. My dad is constantly making upgrades. The latest was the in-ground pool, with a backsplash for people like Steve and his brothers who go down it and try seeing how fast they can go and how much water they can splash out.
We spent a lot of time outside while in Idaho. I guess it doesn't matter how many times I bathe her, she still finds dirt. She has so much fun exploring and investigating.
